We at Serious Games.Studio are looking for a full-stack software engineer with a work permit or citizenship of Austria to join our startup.
Your role & tasks:
Enroll an agile development team that develops, integrates and provides technical solutions for the educational-technology sector. You embody Test-Driven-Development and code in backend and frontend technologies as well. You are our link between product design and software. engineering and contribute with your problem-solving skills to our process from design to development and implementation. Your code sets new standards in terms of quality, robustness and scalability. You plan the next release together with us, you have a Developer-operations mindset and manage our products with your team members. You work actively on the system architecture of our software solutions and optimise features with regard to scalability and performance. You lead our Juniors and play a vital role in contributing to their progress. Actively observe the scripting ecosystem and constantly develop our tooling landscape. Carry out code and technical reviews in order to increase the quality of our products in the long term. Work closely with our solution architects and product managers in order to continuously develop our offers.
Your profile & competences:
You have a bachelor's or master's degree in a software engineering subject. You have at least 3 years of professional experience in professional software development (with Java/JEE – ideally also with Scala) and as a Full Stack Developer. You have in-depth knowledge in the areas of software design, Javascript / Typescript, HTML, CSS, Angular or React, Node and web services. You are familiar with agile development models and have already gained relevant experience. You are eager to work with new and established technologies (focus on cloud solutions) such as Spring Framework, microservice architectures, event-/message-driven systems, Elastic Stack, Cloud Flow, Kafka etc. You are experienced in Representational-state-transfer (REST), Docker, Relational Database Systems, Test-Driven-Development, Kubernetes etc. You are communicative and open – you like sharing know-how with your team members You feel comfortable with communicating in English and enjoy working in an international environment.

Our motivation is that you become an influential member of our company. We offer an attractive and success-based income model with the option to receive shares. The minimum salary based on the collective agreement is € 2,556.00 gross. Remote work with flexible working schedules including core hours for meetings. Join part-time, or be engaged in full-time.
